Our room was reasonably large and had 4 futon mats. the bidet in the clean bathroom was super awesome. the hotel was in a very central setting on top of a hill. It was also next to the Hakone Yumato train station.

Exceptionally good views, enjoyed marvellous setting.

The breakfast offered a wide array of fantastic meals.

Everything was nice, amiable staff, splendid views of Japanese garden. The location of the hotel was very central, close enough to the Hakone Yumato train station, and the pond. Hakone Yumoto Onsen district was definitely worth visiting. The room was quiet and huge, I thoroughly enjoyed to be there. In general the service was very good!

Giving it to you straight, my time here was one for the books, but staying just two nights was not enough time to truly soak it all in. 🌟.

Liked nice bathroom and central heating, a flat-screen TV and a refrigerator in our japanese-style room. The view of garden was particularly good. Location: the hotel was just next door to the garden, the private pond and the major train station...

The hotel was in a good location right by the garden as well as the Hakone Yumato train station. It also was on top of a hill.

The location of this place is very convenient, being close to the train station.

The local staff was very welcoming and the best. it was quiet and clean, with a private bathroom. I didn't want to leave, so I recommend this hotel.

The service was excellent and worth the price, our room was clean, breakfast was Japanese, and we enjoyed the indoor hot spring baths with a beautiful view of the traditional garden.

Everything at Gyokutei was superb, including the great facilities. the location was lovely for my stay, only 700 feet from a hot spring. - All the staff was very friendly.

We loved this place! The location was perfect - just a short walk from the train station and situated on top of a hill, offering breathtaking views. The service was outstanding, with friendly and attentive staff who made us feel truly welcome. The room was fantastic, complete with all the amenities we needed and more. The highlight was definitely the private onsen bath, providing a relaxing and authentic experience. The garden area was also a beautiful spot to unwind. we highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

We loved this traditional Ryokan on top of a hill. The staff were friendly and helpful, speaking English well. The hotel facilities were impeccable and clean. Breakfast and dinner were fantastic with high-quality food. We also liked the location close to the train station.
